Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to every order and every subscription with FixedIP.be. By placing an order, you accept them.
1. Who we are
FixedIP.be is a service of ROKR Services BV, Meidoornlaan 49, 9230 Wetteren, Belgium, company number BE0788.717.490. You can reach us at info@fixedip.be.
2. The service
FixedIP.be routes one or more fixed public IPv4 addresses and an IPv6 subnet through an encrypted WireGuard tunnel to your router or device. Only the traffic for those addresses passes through our network (AS210890); your regular internet connection remains your own responsibility and that of your provider.
FixedIP.be is not a privacy or anonymity VPN.
The IP addresses remain the property of ROKR Services BV. You are given the use of them for as long as your subscription runs. After your subscription ends, they may be assigned to someone else.
Reverse DNS (PTR) cannot be set up or requested.
3. Ordering and activation
You order through the website or by email. After your order and payment of the one-off activation fee (€30.25 incl. VAT), we prepare your addresses and tunnel details and send you the configuration. If you buy a preconfigured FixedIP.be router with your subscription, the activation fee is waived.
You are responsible for setting up your router or device yourself. We provide guides for the common platforms. Help with installation is available for a fee.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the website. At the top of the page you choose whether you order as a private individual or as a business: private individuals see prices including VAT, businesses excluding VAT. VAT is stated on the invoice in accordance with the applicable rules.
You pay monthly or annually, in advance, using the QR code or the bank transfer details on your invoice. If you pay annually, you pay for 10 months instead of 12.
If an invoice is still unpaid 14 days after its due date, we may suspend the service until payment has been received. If a written reminder goes unanswered, we may terminate the subscription.
We will notify you of price changes by email at least one month in advance. If you do not agree with them, you may cancel free of charge with effect from the date on which they take effect.
5. Term and cancellation
Your subscription runs monthly (or annually if you pay annually) and is renewed automatically each time. You can cancel by email at any time with effect from the end of the current period. There is no refund for a period that has already been paid, unless the law provides otherwise.
6. Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days after your order to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason. If you expressly ask us to start the service within that period, then on withdrawal you only pay for the period during which the service was already provided, and the activation fee if the activation had already been fully completed.
7. Acceptable use
Hosting and servers are permitted. The following are not permitted:
- mail servers (outgoing email from your fixed IP),
- VPN or proxy services for third parties,
- torrents and other peer-to-peer file sharing,
- port scans and other reconnaissance or attack traffic,
- anything that breaches Belgian law or the rights of others, such as spam, phishing, distributing malware or copyright infringement.
Some ports are blocked for security reasons, including TCP port 25.
In the event of abuse or a complaint, we may suspend the service immediately, without refund. We will inform you of this by email. We forward to you any abuse complaints we receive about your addresses.
8. Fair use
We apply a fair use policy. To keep the network running smoothly for everyone, we may limit the speed or data traffic of a tunnel on our tunnel servers when usage clearly and persistently exceeds normal use.
9. Availability
We do our best to keep the service available as much as possible, but we give no guarantee of availability (there is no SLA). Where possible, we announce planned maintenance in advance.
10. Liability
ROKR Services BV is not liable for indirect damage, such as loss of profit, loss of data or damage caused by an interruption of the service. In any event, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months. This does not apply in the case of intent or gross negligence, and does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.
You are responsible for securing the devices you make reachable through your fixed IP.
11. Personal data
You can read how we handle your data in our privacy policy.
12. Changes
We may change these terms and conditions. We will notify you of significant changes by email at least one month in advance; you may then cancel free of charge.
13. Applicable law
These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law. Disputes will be submitted to the courts of Ghent, Dendermonde division, without prejudice to the statutory rules for consumers.
